When I moved to Nebraska one of my first stops was to the Capitol building to check on some paperwork.  From the outside, it is a plain monolith visible from miles away.  The lower levels are catacomb like and dark.  The main hallways and rotunda upstairs are a majestic as a cathedral.  The building is maybe the only one that I’ve been in which had a philosopher deeply involved in the design.  Artwork abounds in all areas.
