I had put off working on portraits for decades. I knew it was the hardest genre of photography to master and needed to learn a lot more before diving in.
Once I got started, I actually really enjoyed it and it has changed my entire outlook to photography. In the past I have excluded people from my shots as I thought they were ‘in the way’. In the future, I will be looking for people to help tell the story of the photograph.
